Tool Introduction

This reference collects well-known NTP (Network Time Protocol) servers. The NTP Pool group is the community-run cluster that most operating systems point to by default - pool.ntp.org resolves to servers near you automatically. The Global group covers first-party time servers from Apple, Google and Microsoft, plus regional mirrors. The China group lists national and cloud time services hosted in mainland China for lower latency there.

NTP is carried over UDP port 123, so make sure your firewall allows outbound NTP. Pick 2-4 hosts from one or two groups as a fallback chain, and use a hostname rather than a raw IP where possible - the pool and most providers rotate and fail over the addresses behind them automatically.
